The Map screen brings the same overhead view of your business that you have on the desktop into your phone. You can see every event on a date range, drop saved pins on places that matter, mark areas of your customers' yards, and tap any pin to get directions or open the event.
Opening the Map
Open the More menu, then tap Map. The screen loads with your business address as the home pin and every event in the current month plotted around it.
The first time you open it you'll see a small tip at the top — long-press anywhere on the map to drop a pin, or tap the shape icon to draw a zone. Dismiss the tip when you've read it.
Choosing a Date Range
The header shows two date chips — From and To — with shortcut buttons below them: This Week, This Month, Next 30 Days, Next 90 Days, and All Upcoming. Pick a shortcut, or tap a date chip to set a custom date.
Whenever you change the range the map re-fits automatically so every event in range fits on the screen.
Pin Tap
Tap any event pin to open a card from the bottom of the screen. The card shows:
- Event title, date, and time
- Customer name
- Full address (tap it to get directions)
- Item count and total
- Setup or takedown phase badges if the event has them
- A live short-term weather forecast for that location
- An Open button that takes you straight to the event detail screen
- A Get Directions button that hands the address off to your phone's maps app
Map and Satellite
Above the date row, there's a small picker for Map, Satellite, and Hybrid. Hybrid shows roads on top of satellite imagery — handy when you need to read street names while still seeing the lay of the land. Whichever you pick is remembered the next time you open the screen.
Locate Me
Tap the locate icon in the top-right corner of the map to center the view on your current location. Your phone will ask once for permission. If you decline, the rest of the map still works — only the locate button is disabled.
Events That Need a Fix
If any events in your date range don't have a recognized address, a yellow chip appears next to the satellite picker showing how many. Tap the chip to open a list of those events. Each row has a Fix button that jumps to the event detail screen so you can correct the address. Once it's recognized, it appears on the map automatically.
Custom Pins
You can drop saved pins anywhere on the map for places that matter to your business — a storage yard, a frequent venue, a fuel stop, or a hazard you want your team to know about.
Dropping a New Pin
Long-press anywhere on the map. A draft pin appears at that spot, and a small banner slides up at the bottom of the screen showing the coordinates. Press and drag the draft pin to position it exactly where you want, then tap Confirm to open the pin editor (or Cancel to dismiss).
The Pin Editor
The editor lets you set:
- Label — what this pin is called
- Icon — pick from ten options including a star, a flag, a building, a parking sign, a hazard symbol, and more
- Location — already set from where you dropped the draft pin. To move it, close the editor and drag the pin on the map
- Address — optional street address shown on the pin's card
- Notes — anything you want your team to remember about this spot
- Linked customer — search and pick a customer to attach to this pin
- Locked — when on, the pin can't be dragged accidentally
Tap Save in the top-right to keep your changes.
Editing or Moving a Pin
Tap any custom pin you've saved to open its card. From there you can:
- Edit — opens the editor again
- Get Directions — opens your phone's maps app
- Lock or Unlock — toggle whether the pin can be dragged
- Delete — removes the pin (you'll be asked to confirm)
To move a pin, just press and drag it on the map. If it's locked, unlock it first.
Pin Sync
Pins you save on the mobile app are the same pins you see on the desktop map, and the other way around. If you move or rename a pin on one device, the other map updates within a couple of seconds.
Overlays
Above the satellite picker, there's a second picker with three options: None, Revenue, and Repeats.
Revenue
Color-codes every event pin by how much money it's bringing in, from low (blue) to top earners (gold). A small legend in the bottom-left of the map explains the colors. Use it to see at a glance where your high-value jobs are clustered.
If your account doesn't have access to revenue numbers, you won't see this overlay.
Repeats
Highlights areas where the same customer has booked you more than once in the date range. Each cluster of repeat bookings shows up as a soft circle on the map — the more visits, the bigger and more solid the circle. A legend in the upper-left lists your top three repeat customers and how many times they've booked.
This is a fast way to see which neighborhoods or accounts are driving repeat business.
Drawing Terrain Zones
Some areas of a job site matter to your crews — the lawn vs. the gravel driveway, a steep slope, a spot that's hard to access with a truck. Terrain zones let you mark them on the map.
Drawing a New Zone
Tap the shape icon under the locate button. A toolbar slides up at the bottom telling you to tap the map to drop points. Tap once for each corner of the area you want to mark. The shape connects automatically as you go.
When the shape looks right (you need at least three points), tap Finish. A form opens where you pick:
- Surface kind — Grass, Asphalt, Gravel, Dirt, Slope risk, Access warning, or Truck access OK
- Label — an optional name like "Back yard slope"
- Notes — any extra detail
- Locked — keeps the zone from being edited by accident
Tap Save to keep the zone.
If you make a mistake while drawing, tap the back-arrow icon in the toolbar to undo your last point, or Cancel to discard the whole shape.
Editing an Existing Zone
Tap any zone on the map to open the same form. From there you can change the kind, label, notes, or locked state. There's also an Edit shape on map button that lets you drag any corner of the zone to a new spot. Tap a faded dot between two corners to add a new corner there. Tap Save in the toolbar at the bottom when the shape looks right, or Cancel to discard your changes.
To delete a zone, tap it open and use the red Delete button at the bottom.
Zone Colors
Each surface kind has a color — green for grass, brown for dirt, light blue for access warnings, red-orange for slope risks, and so on. The colors match what you see on the desktop map so your team can recognize them at a glance.
Live Updates
If somebody else on your team adds an event, edits an existing one, or changes a zone in the desktop or another phone, the map updates within a couple of seconds. The camera doesn't jump around — your view stays where you put it.
Tips
- The home pin always stays on the map regardless of date range or filters, so you can always see where you are relative to your jobs.
- Custom pins and terrain zones don't expire with date filters — they're permanent until you remove them.
- The weather chip on event cards shows the current short-term forecast for that job site, then reuses the cached result when you tap nearby events.
- The Map screen is also available on the desktop with a slightly different feature set. Use whichever fits your workflow.
