If you've ever had a mower, a truck, or a 40x80 tent financed and wondered "how much of that thing have I actually paid off this year?" — we've got you.
- Track purchase date, purchase price, manufacturer, useful life, and wear notes on every inventory item and every piece of lawn-care equipment
- Attach a loan to any asset with term, interest rate, payment schedule, and a PDF of the loan document itself
- Brand new Loans & Depreciation tab in Analytics with:
- Monthly cashflow at a glance
- Yearly payment breakdowns
- Straight-line depreciation tables so you (and your accountant) finally know what each asset is worth today

So we built a whole new Assets page:
- Log any piece of gear you own, rental or not

- Get a dashboard banner when something's due so you don't miss it

🎨 Layout Designer, Reimagined
The Layout Designer got a serious glow-up. Cleaner canvas, smoother drag-and-drop, better snapping, and a whole lot less friction from "empty screen" to "client-ready floorplan."
- Quick Start templates for tent and party-rental pros so you're never staring at a blank canvas
- Non-tent industries (lawn care, equipment, vehicle) now skip the tent-only templates and just start fresh — no irrelevant clutter
- Performance improvements across the board — it just feels faster
📱 Heads Up: The Mobile App is Live
Big news — the Apex Rental Pro mobile app is available now on iOS and Android. Time clock, event details, customer lookups, lawn-care routes, loan documents, the works. If you can do it at your desk, you can now do it from the back of the truck.

New-account setup is now tuned to your industry. Tent rental, party supply, equipment rental, lawn care, vehicle rental, or general rental — the wizard reads the room and adjusts:
- Industry-specific copy throughout onboarding, emails, contracts, and the website builder
- Suggested inventory templates pulled from what businesses in your space actually rent
- Smart category pills so you can bulk-add your most common items in seconds
- Post-inventory nudges to guide you to the next best step

🌿 Lawn Care Gets the Keys
If you're running a lawn-care operation, you've been carrying us for a while. We heard the feedback and we went hard:
- Four dedicated CalOps menu items — Properties, Crews, Schedules, Equipment — each with its own page, each individually favoritable
- Lawn Care Starter = Pro. No more "you need the Pro plan to unlock routes." Starter now has the full feature set for lawn-care tenants. That's a gift. Enjoy it.
- Customer profiles capture preferred day/time, gate codes, and pet info so your crews aren't playing guessing games
- Portal polish: customers can request service, upload photos, and get updates without a single phone call
- Equipment financing tracking mirrors inventory — track loans on mowers, trimmers, zero-turns, whatever you've got rolling
🔒 Financial Data, Locked Down
Not everyone on your team needs to see what you paid for the tent. We added an admin-strict permission flag called "View Asset Financials" that controls who sees:
- Purchase prices, dates, and manufacturers
- Loan terms, documents, and amortization
- Depreciation analytics
Here's the kicker: this one doesn't auto-grant to admins. Even your admins start locked out. The tenant owner has it automatically (because, duh, it's your money), but everyone else — including other admins — has to be explicitly given access by you. Your financial data, your rules.
👀 Customer-Visible vs. Internal-Only Items
New "customer rentable" toggle on every inventory item. Flip it off and the item:
- Disappears from your public website
- Disappears from the quote builder
- Disappears from the mobile item picker
- Stays fully visible to your team with an "internal only" badge in the inventory list
Perfect for tools, consumables, shop equipment, or that one weird tent you never actually rent but refuse to throw away.
🎨 Upgrade Screen Face Lift
The subscription upgrade page got a full redesign. Cleaner, faster, and frankly a lot less boring. Because if you're going to give us money, the least we can do is make it look nice.
📊 Live Look (Gateway Dashboard) Upgrades
For our self-hosted and platform-admin folks — the Live Look dashboard leveled up:
- Time range selector — 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days
- Export to CSV with optional level and tenant filters
- Smoother, more responsive charts
- Keyboard-friendly modals with proper accessibility
🏗️ Build Kits Get Full Financial Parity
Build Kits (think: a 40x80 made of ends and mids) now support Internal Details and Loan tracking just like individual items. Track the financing on the whole kit, attach PDFs, the full deal. No more "everything but the kitchen sink" disclaimers — build kits are finally first-class citizens.

The public-facing landing page got a brand-new promo video front and center, plus a few visual tweaks to convert more of the visitors you're sending our way. (Yes, we see you sharing the link. Keep it up.)
