Packages let you create pre-built bundles of quote items at a set price. Instead of adding individual line items every time a customer wants your standard "176 Guest Wedding Package," you can create a package that includes all the items and apply it to a quote with a single click.
A package is a named collection of items with a fixed base price. It includes:
- Package Name — a descriptive name (e.g., "176 Guest Wedding Package")
- Description — optional details about what's included
- Base Price — the total price for the package (not per-item pricing)
- Items — the individual items included in the package, each with a quantity
When you add a package to a quote, it appears as a single line item with the package price. The individual items inside the package are tracked for inventory purposes when the quote is booked.
Navigate to Quotes > Packages to manage your packages.
- Click Add Package.
- Enter a Name (must be unique).
- Optionally add a Description.
- Set the Base Price — this is the total package price customers pay.
- Add Items to the package from your pricing catalog, setting a quantity for each.
- Click Save.
Click the edit icon to modify a package's name, description, price, or included items.
Packages have an Active status. Inactive packages won't appear as options when building quotes, but they're retained in the system for historical reference.
Click the delete icon to permanently remove a package. Existing quotes that used this package will retain the package data, but it won't be available for new quotes.
When creating or editing a quote:
- Look for the Packages section in the quote builder.
- Select a package from the dropdown.
- Set the quantity (usually 1).
- The package is added as a single line item with its base price.
The individual items inside the package are listed in the quote details for the customer to see what's included, but the pricing is based on the package's base price, not the sum of individual item prices.
When a quote containing a package is booked into an event:
- The package's individual items are extracted and mapped to inventory items using your Item Mappings.
- Each item's quantity is multiplied by the package quantity (e.g., if the package includes "10x Round Tables" and you ordered 2 packages, 20 round tables are deducted).
- The package items are included in the event description for reference.
- Package price is fixed: The base price is a flat amount — it doesn't automatically recalculate if you change the prices of the items inside it. If your individual item prices go up, remember to update your package prices too.
- Package names must be unique: You can't have two packages with the same name.
- Inactive packages are hidden: If you deactivate a package, it won't show up in the quote builder. Existing quotes that used it are unaffected.
- Package items vs. inventory items: The items listed in a package come from your pricing catalog (quote items), not directly from inventory. When the quote is booked, item mappings translate these into inventory items. Make sure your mappings are set up for all items included in your packages.
